Tattoo Rock Parlour - Question

I am thinking of going here on my birthday, post-dinner b/c there is a Haitian relief dance party where all proceeds go to the relief funds. Well, so 1) go there if you can; 2) have you been to the place & if so what did you think of it?
It is a great cause so I want to go there, but I'd rather donate separately and not go there that night if it's not a great venue. I have checked out some online reviews and it seems like it's generally ok, but I wouldn't mind more personal reviews here. Soooo. As for the music, the info for that night says: IN CROWD ft. GUEST DJ Ainsworth MOTOWN + RNB + FUNK + SOUL + STAX + 60s ROCK. Hmm.
Originally I thought of going to Easy on the 5th, and will probably go there if this venue doesn't look so great. Help!! Please!

Honestly I've never liked places like Easy or Tattoo. I'll go with friends though because that's what some of them like .

We're having dinner for her bday though, then going out for drinks after.

stradgirl, with enough people, I think any venue can be fun. I'd rather give my money to Haiti than the pockets of the retarded owners of Easy.

B-day is on 21st, so.. I don't think I would go out the night before
I don't mind Easy -- I actually like this place b/c it's a nice chill place and everyone seems to feel comfortable (and easy!) there. If TRP is about as good as Easy or better, then I think I will go to TRP. Just needed to know if it was like..... certain places that definitely do not meet the hype. Great that there are so many events like these though!

Just saw what Lich posted. Ok then hehe. TRP then. It is pretty large, is it? Just wanna make sure it's not ultra packed... but maybe that's ok too. If the night sux we can call it an early night and everybody gets to bed early and catch up on some precious zz. Heh.

Most of my friends won't go to Easy or Tattoo, and the ones that do just want to pick up boys.. oi vey!
I've just never gone to either with friends who didn't have some kind of boy agenda (which is annoying). So I'm biased. Ignore what I said .
