I grew-up in the Hammer, but currently live in the G-spot. (<- do I qualify as an ultra-cool Guelphite now?)

I am coming in from Burlington. Don't mind showing up at 9pm for set up but I would love to let my friends know an approximate time.... they will be way too drunk if they sit there all night.
On another note, I got an email from Bounce saying Blondie's doesn't normally have the turntables set up and could I play CDs instead.... LOL. They said the turntables could be set up if absolutely needed. Were any of the rest of you guys planning on playing vinyl? I have zero experience with the CDJs.
I use serato and turntables... I can do the CDJ thing if absolutely necessary, but I much prefer turntables. I think we should definitely request that they set them up.. it's not as though it's a huge chore, and if they don't want to set them up we can always do it for them.
no sense in changing our preferred means of auditory conveyance, particularly if anybody is uncomfortable doing so.
I'm with you LSD. I requested that they be available, and I assumed someone else would use them.
whoops... I am actually coming in from Grimsby (friends who I am grabbing/pre-partying with) so sorry for the confusion. Just read the e-mail about the times so I might be out on meeting up with you before the night. write me aaron at funkyhousebeats dot com
;-)
Sorry for the initially incorrect information regarding the set-up in the booth at Blondie's. In 6 events we've done at Blondie's the turntables have only been set up once, which was when they first opened. CDJs are pretty much the standard set-up at every party we've thrown in the past 4 years. Most clubs in Toronto where we do events don't normally have turntables in the booth, but can put them in on request.
We're going to do our best to accommodate everyone regarding equipment and scheduling, but it is important that all the DJs get there early to set-up to ensure a smooth and problem free event.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying a great night of music and new friends!

More BOUNCE to da OUNCE
This may be a stupid question (just making sure) but what is the earliest we can get there?
